Why it's different
It isn't retinol. There's no retinol or retinoid in the formula at all. Bidens Pilosa is a plant extract used in skincare as a gentler alternative.
It isn't a treatment. It's a cosmetic serum. It works on how skin looks — it won't treat a skin condition.
It isn't a like-for-like swap. We haven't run a head-to-head study against retinol, so we're not going to claim the results are the same.
What it is: a gentle, well-formulated anti-ageing serum you can use morning and night without planning your week around it.
How to use
Apply a few drops to a cleansed face, morning and/or evening.
Layer moisturiser over the top if you use one. Keep wearing sunscreen in the morning — good practice with any active skincare.
Who it's for
Anyone who wants to do something about the appearance of fine lines and uneven texture, but has either had a bad time with retinol or would rather not start.
Our manufacturer describes it as suitable for all skin types. It is fragranced, so if you react to fragranced skincare, patch test first.
If you're already using a prescription retinoid and getting on fine with it, you probably don't need this.
