Is this the same as retinol?
No. It contains no retinol or retinoids at all. It's built on 2% Bidens Pilosa, a plant extract used in skincare as a gentler alternative.
Is it as good as retinol?
We don't know, and we won't claim it. There's no head-to-head study behind this product. Anyone telling you their plant alternative matches prescription retinoids is guessing.
Will it irritate my skin?
It's formulated as a gentle alternative and our manufacturer lists it as suitable for all skin types. It is fragranced, though — patch test on your inner arm first.
How long until I see a difference?
We haven't measured this ourselves, so we're not going to quote you a number of weeks. When we have our own testing to report, it goes here.
Morning or night?
Either or both — a few drops on a cleansed face. Unlike retinol there's no reason to restrict it to evenings. Keep wearing sunscreen in the morning regardless.
Can I use it with my other actives?
It layers under moisturiser like any serum. If you're on a prescription retinoid or strong acids, introduce it slowly or check with whoever prescribed them. We can't give medical advice and won't.
How long does a bottle last?
30 ml used as a few drops once or twice daily — for most people, a couple of months.

Is it certified?
Yes — Ecocert COSMOS Natural. 99% natural origin, 24% organic origin. Vegan, gluten free and nut free.
Does it contain fragrance?
Yes. A soft rose aroma with a touch of geranium, from natural essential oils. That means it contains the naturally-occurring allergens geraniol, citronellol, linalool and citral.
